Reports to: Manager of Disaster Outreach
Position Description
The part-time Resource Recovery Coordinator (RRC) will travel throughout the state to research, locate, assess and coordinate acquisition of recovery processes, resources, referrals, personnel including volunteers, equipment, supplies, housing and grants. Will also work with Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRGs) and participate in LTRG Unmet Needs meetings. This is a temporary grant-funded position with an end date approximately 16 months from start date.
Ministerial
- As a ministerial representative of CCEOK, it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church
- Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration
- Willingness to learn how to articulate Catholic teaching with a commitment to its application in the job function

Leadership
- Motivate, lead and inspire staff, volunteers and outside agencies to accomplish the program’s vision and goals
- Communicate with Disaster Outreach staff regarding available resources
- Communicate and work with CCEOK grant writer regarding any potential grant opportunities
- Communicate to all affected departments any changes in schedules
Responsibilities
- Seek out donated goods, i.e. shingles, flooring, etc.
- Visit with stores, companies or warehouses to see if there are discounts for disaster-related recovery materials
- Develop a plan, if necessary, for storage for any donated or purchased items
- Seek grants in collaboration with CCEOK grant writer and assist with managing grant requirements and reporting
- Develop, recruit and manage volunteer teams for smaller jobs, i.e. Knights of Columbus, church groups, local schools or universities.
- Develop network of professional contacts who support our mission and give us discounts and quality work
- Develop parish resources in collaboration with CCEOK parish engagement coordinator
- Develop a relationship and collaborate with our VOAD partners, especially with ROAD.

- Once a resource is identified and adequately evaluated, make it available to the appropriate Disaster Outreach staff for utilization and implementation
- Provide required reports compiling data points from databases and spreadsheets
- Keep detailed records of any resources, grant opportunities and any other related information and report to the disaster manager and/or the grant writer
Tasks
- Field all phone calls, texts and emails from individuals, agencies or organizations and respond in a timely fashion
- Attend department meetings, formation and other training sessions
- Follow up on resource or grant leads provided by the disaster manager or case manager supervisor
- Relay all information to disaster manager and case manager supervisor at scheduled briefings and mintain detailed records
- Network with other disaster agencies, non-profit organizations or government officials to stay informed about resources, referrals, grant opportunities or free or discounted products
- Participate as required in community organizations/coalitions to stay abreast of current events or trends in grant acquisitions, donation management or other resource opportunities
- Responsible for establishing a respectful relationship with outside agencies, stores or individuals while pursuing resources
- Must follow all policies set forth regarding time keeping procedures, phone use policy, vehicle use policy, etc.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required), bachelor’s degree preferred
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Catholic Charities
- Detail oriented, organized and ability to prioritize work
- Professional and positive approach
- Experience or familiarity with disaster case management preferred
- Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal, time-management and multi-tasking skills
- Familiarity and competency with research techniques for acquiring resources including:
- identifying needs
- gathering data
- communicating and negotiating as necessary with the organization
- developing a plan for acquiring the resource
- communicating findings
- monitor impact of the resources
- Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365
- Hands on experience with office equipment (e.g. laptops, fax machines, printers)
- Ability to drive and possess a clean driving record
