Good Shepherd Kitchen is a 12-week culinary training program to equip you with the tools to achieve your potential. Based out of The Market at Catholic Charities, you’ll learn the skills it takes to work in a kitchen while preparing nutritious meals for clients of The Market. Learn in-demand skills and earn your ServSafe Food Handlers Certification and Certificate of Completion to gain employment after graduation. This 12-week program offers an hourly stipend.

Gain crucial experience in a busy warehouse and market environment. Earn your forklift operator’s certification while learning inventory management techniques. This 8-week program offers an hourly stipend.

  • Forklift operation (based on training certification)
  • Palletizing products on pallets
  • Unloading trucks
  • Stacking pallets in racking – on floor and in upper slots
  • Shrink wrap products on pallets
  • Marking pallets by weights/dates as they come into the warehouse
  • Inventory within cooler/freezer – FIFO/LIFO
  • Preparing food for use in market
  • Cleaning/sanitizing the warehouse area
