Position Description

This full-time, benefited position will be a conduit between the clients that are served through various programs at Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma and organizations, businesses and public agencies looking to hire and/or train potential employees. This role is important for the long-term success and self-sufficiency of the clients, and it is an important role that will benefit the employers and the community. This position is ministerial in nature, adhering to the culture and mission of Catholic Charities while maintaining to the values of Catholic Social Teachings.

As a ministerial representative of CCEOK it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church.

Tasks

  • Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies
  • Evaluates individual's background, skills, and interest and matches to potential job openings or training programs
  • Assist clients in enrolling or receiving necessary training and skills applicable to their interests and available jobs
  • Understand tasks and functions of jobs available as well as compensation and benefits
  • Coaches and prepares candidates for interview and entry into the workforce
  • Assist clients with onboarding processes, forms, documents
  • Confirm permanent employment for clients
  • Maintains contact with employers (respecting EE rights) and clients after placement to ensure continued success
  • Maintain records of available jobs, client skills acquired, positions filled, and job retention
  • Analyze impact of successful placement from the employer and employee perspective (program effectiveness)
  • Follow guidelines of employers and government requirements regarding documentation
  • Ensures a safe and secure environment, aligned with the standards of the Child and Youth Protection Charter
  • Engages the help and support of volunteers willing to give their time and talent in this area
  • Follows all CCEOK policies and procedures
  • Duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business, Management or Social Service
  • 2 to 4 years work experience

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience building and utilizing leadership volunteers
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • PC literate with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to make accommodations and use resources for language barriers
