Manager - Sallisaw

Position Description

This full-time, benefited position provides overall administrative management, client oversight, volunteer coordination and food procurement for Catholic Charities Sallisaw. It oversees and manages volunteers, in tandem with case work and long-term case management for individuals in need, while maintaining the values of Catholic Social Teaching. Key responsibilities include supervision of staff, and a volunteer support team. The Manager ensures compliance of state and federal regulatory procedures and record keeping and compliance with internal policies and procedures.

As a ministerial representative of CCEOK it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration
  • Manage and supervise staff, including payroll approvals, time-off requests, and annual performance reviews
  • Recruit, train, inspire, supervise, support and coordinate volunteers and their schedules
  • Analyze and compile monthly reports, providing feedback to director
  • Evaluate program for effectiveness in serving others – feedback and evaluation of clients
  • Maintain department and organizational policies and procedures including safe environment aligned with the standards of the Child and Youth Protection Charter
  • Participate as needed for bi-annual (or annual) audit – providing weights, counts and other documentation
  • Monitor billing for outstanding fees, communicate with clients and employees
  • Schedule necessary trainings for staff, including specialized CCEOK University
  • Manage grant compliance (EFSP) and research new opportunities
  • Coordinate distribution of financial funds, record keeping, check requests – responsible for staying within budget
  • Place orders from the Food Bank, coordinate food pick-ups and maintain pantry to comply with USDA and Health Dept. regulations
  • Manage all operations in the Warehouse, including donations, weights and reports
  • Work cooperatively with other agency staff, referral sources and community resources including Pastor’s Fellowship to obtain and coordinate services for clients
  • Incorporate Mentorship Program which provides long term case management
  • Duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or equivalent 3 years work experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
