Position Description

CC-Stillwater is a Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma (CCEOK) program that incorporates the highly successful CCEOK GED program with career enhancement skills and placement support. The program is focused on students in challenging economic situations, will transition successful candidates from a “job” mindset to a “career” mindset, and will provide the skills and tools required to meet the goals of the program.

The role will grow from part time to full time as the program evolves and the successful incumbent will be an energetic, outgoing and polished professional looking for the challenge of a startup opportunity assisting those in need.

This part-time key leader is responsible for the long-term sustainability of CC-Stillwater by assisting with local fundraising, community outreach, marketing, resource management and liability management.

As a ministerial representative of CCEOK it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout Payne County and surrounding areas, utilizing those relationships to strategically enhance the mission of CCEOK.

  • Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily mass, and/or adoration.
  • Build & maintain relationships, including but not limited to schools, churches, Our Daily Bread, Clients, volunteers, teachers, other non-profits
  • Maintain and increase funding and funding sources
  • Recruit volunteers (lead, teachers, childcare, …)
  • Work with program directors in Tulsa location to determine courses to be offered
  • Implement and maintain course catalog
  • Work one-on-on with specific clients on continuing education and training
  • Define and administer graduate and alumni support
  • Schedule courses and logistical issues
  • Develop and implement client tracking for class, training and job placement
  • Follow established CCEOK employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the CCEOK department
  • Work directly with Coordinator of Education to ensure student’s needs are met and the Director of Volunteer Engagement to assure CCEOK volunteer policies and procedures are followed
  • Serve as CC-Stillwater’s primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public under the direction or CCEOK Development
  • Report to and work closely with CCEOK management and St. Francis Xavier Church to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the program
  • Schedule necessary trainings for staff, including specialized CCEOK University
  • Create and update written program policies and procedures that creates a safe and secure environment, aligned with the standards of the Child and Youth Protection Charter
  • Review and recommend contracts for services to CC management
  • Communicate with community partners for facility readiness
  • Schedule and communicate expectations to volunteer team
  • Schedule, plan and report results of pre and post assessments
  • Other duties as assigned by CCEOK management

Professional Qualifications

  • 5 years residing in Stillwater  
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years management experience
  • Solid, hands-on skills: analysis, decision-making and reporting
  • Skills to collaborate with and motivate management, staff members and other volunteers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
  • Proven ability for long term project management
  • Strong public speaking ability preferred
  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred
