Position Description
This full-time position provides therapeutic mental health services, counseling education and psychotherapy functions using special skills and techniques in an outpatient office setting and utilizing telehealth technology.
As a ministerial representative of CCEOK it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church.
Tasks
- Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration
- Provides psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families and groups to promote optimum mental health
- Provide counseling education and psycho-educations workshops in the community and at the parishes
- Collaborate with programs to develop and implement accessible treatment and intervention programs that clients can understand and comply with
- Act as a counseling and mental health resource to internal programs, other diocesan offices, community programs and providers for mental health services, consultation and treatment
- Complete and maintain clinical records in accordance with generally accepted standards of care and protocols
- Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training as required by state licensing and regulatory boards
- Duties as assigned
Education Requirements
- Master’s and/or Doctorate degree in psychology, counseling or mental health
- Current license or license eligible as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Oklahoma
Skills
- At least three years of counseling or mental health post-license experience preferred
- Relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Able to work with a diverse ethnic and socioeconomic clientele
- Able to interact effectively with other employees in all levels of the organization as well as the general public
- PC literate with PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
- Ability to lift 20lbs, bend, stoop, sit and stand for long periods of time
