Reports to: Manager of Catholic Charities Sallisaw

Position Description

This full-time AmeriCorps position will do client intake, register each client and household into AssistOK, and work with other case workers to determine the extent to which the family has been affected by COVID-19. Under direction of the Manager of Catholic Charities Sallisaw, the AmeriCorps member will then match eligible clients with services to fulfill their needs. For more information go to the Americorps site. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client intake, registering each client and household into AssistOK
  • Become familiar with other social services and key persons in each location
  • Follow through with clients until needs are reasonably satisfied
  • Utilize the Disaster Case Management Model

Education

  • Some college

Skills

  • Ability to work with a team is a must
  • Experience in disaster services a plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills
