Dental Clinic recognized for excellence

Our own Catholic Charities’ Dental Clinic was named a finalist for Oklahoma Nonprofit Excellence (ONE) Awards. The annual event took place on April 29th, honoring outstanding nonprofits throughout the state for their work to improve their respective communities and change lives.

David Hogan, Chairman of the ONE Awards Selection Commission, said, “From top-level management to part-time staff, these are committed individuals working together for the greater good of all Oklahomans. This is one of the best nights of the year for nonprofits.” Each finalist receives a $5,000 prize. 

Our dental program serves low-income, uninsured people of all ages. Many of our dental patients have never seen a dentist before and have various problems requiring extra procedures, time and counseling. With the help of more than 45 volunteer dentists, 90 volunteer hygienists, 20 dental students and numerous other volunteers logging over 3,000 hours per year, our dental program is able to help thousands in desperate need of care each year.
