Frequently Asked Questions About Volunteering

Do you have to be Catholic to Volunteer?

No, we enjoy and encourage anyone who is interested to volunteer.

Can I just drop in any time to volunteer?

At this time, we are asking interested volunteers to please contact our Volunteer Engagement office before coming to volunteer. As our programs open up to full capacity, we may reinstate "Volunteer Anytime Hours". Please check back for that information.

Can I bring my family?

Yes! We are a family here at Catholic Charities and encourage families to volunteer. If you have very young children (under the age of 5), we ask that you arrange for appropriate activities with our Volunteer Engagement office.

Can I volunteer by myself?

Yes! We have many volunteers who come to Catholic Charities by themselves. It’s a great way to meet other people in the community.

Can I volunteer for Student Service Hours?

Yes! Students age 13 and up may volunteer by themselves. Younger students through age 12 may volunteer with a parent.
