Be a Volunteer

Volunteer one time or on a regular basis. We have a wide variety of opportunities. One is sure to pique your interest.

We still need volunteers to continue serving the community during this challenging time. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the volunteer interest form on this page and someone from our office will contact you to discuss your options. We must be careful not to have too many volunteers at one time so that social distancing is still possible. This may mean that you are scheduled in the coming weeks and not immediately. We appreciate your willingness to help! Together, we are love changing lives.

Student groups love volunteering at Catholic Charities!

Current Volunteer Needs

We can always use help in our food pantry, clothing center and warehouse. While we prefer to know when you plan to volunteer, we welcome anyone to come by during business hours to volunteer in our most-needed programs. Please ask a staff member to help you check in so we can keep track of your volunteer hours. We prefer you register as a volunteer after three visits.

     Volunteer "Anytime Hours"

  • Monday through Friday - 9 am to 4 pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings - 4 pm to 7 pm (sometimes we finish early)
  • First and third Saturdays of each month - 9 am to noon

If you stop by to volunteer and you need student service hours recorded, be sure to find a staff member to help you check in. This is the only way we can verify service hours.

Let us know what type of volunteer opportunity you're looking for and we will follow up with you soon.

If you aren't sure what type of volunteer position interests you, no problem! We have volunteer orientations available multiple times each month. This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn about our different programs before deciding on your perfect spot.

I'd like to attend a volunteer orientation before deciding where I'd like to volunteer. (These orientations are currently suspended due to the pandemic. Someone from our office will contact you about other options for learning about volunteer opportunities.)

Volunteering at Catholic Charities in the kitchen, the dining room, and at Madonna House are the highlights of my week. It's all about friendships, caring, giving, and 'becoming one'.
