We are in need of Saturday volunteers to help with client interviews for financial assistance. This could also include the stewardship class we offer. All with training. Please note we are only open the 1st and 3rd Saturday so the volunteer would only need to volunteer 1 or 2 Saturdays a month for 3 hours.
We also need a few able-bodied people to work with our Food Bank Crew. This would include picking up food from the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma on Thursdays from 10 am- to approx. noon. They would need a truck that can haul from 900 to 3000 pounds. We have a trailer that can be used to offset the weight so their truck would need a hitch. Training will be provided. Again this is on a rotating schedule with others who are currently volunteering with the Food Bank Crew. Therefore, they may only be needed once a month or once every other month as we build our volunteer base.
We are looking for a Hospitality Specialist to meet and greet people as they come into the lobby of MOC. They would direct people to sign in, get them coffee or a drink, present the children with a coloring page and make sure all the correct paper work is completed prior to letting the case workers know when the next person in line is ready to be interviewed. This position is a three-days-per-week position from 9 am to 1pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We could split this position up into 3 volunteers, 1 day per week, if needed. In the future, we will need this position to be filled on 1st and 3rd Saturday.
If you would like to volunteer as an individual or if you'd like to bring a group to volunteer, contact Volunteer Engagement at (918) 508-7125 or volunteer@cceok.org or fill out the volunteer interest form.
